Patent protection

Patents and utility models protect inventions in a field of technology. In addition to traditional technical fields such as mechanical and process engineering, electronics and electrical engineering, and mechatronics, our areas of expertise also include physics, medical engineering, materials and plastics engineering, and information and communication technology.

Design and trademark protection

Trademarks protect signs used for the identification of goods and services. In particular, product and company names as well as logos are considered as “signs”.

Designs protect the “appearance” of a product, i.e. the design of a product. This can be the shape or look of the product or a part of it. The appearance of a product also includes the graphical user interface of a programme or an app.
